What about generics?
Find out what the differences between generics and brand medication.
What are generic drugs?
One of the questions we get the most from consumers is: “What are generic drugs and what are the differences with the other drugs?”. Generic medicines are actually just equivalents for some of the brand medication. They use the same active ingredients, and have the same reliability, quality, strength and possible side effects. The dosage of generic drugs are identical to the ones used with the brand medication.
People often think generic drugs have inferior quality, but this is definitely not true. The producers of generic drugs follow the same strict rules and regulations imposed by the FDA/WHO like the producers of brand medication. Generics and brand drugs are 100% identical, work just as fast and offer the same safety and reliability.
Now you’re probably wondering; “Why should I buy generics if they are just the same like brand medication?” The actual question should be why you would be willing to pay more for brand medication if it is 100% identical to the much cheaper generics? The reason why original brand drugs are much more expensive is the R&D and marketing costs of both companies. The companies producing the generic drugs don’t have expensive marketing plans or research and development departments; they work low-cost. This doesn’t mean they produce their generics in unsafe environments, their production facilities are just as modern as the ones producers of brand medication have.
